Food Production
Manufacturing planning, costing, inventory management, expiry date management and batch tracking are standard requirements, but the food industry must meet particularly stringent standards such as HAACP and GMP. Critical to these is end-to-beginning traceability – the ability to track a finished product from the shelf in the store back to the supplier and manufacturers of production materials. Management of Quality Control and Quality Assurance is also critical since these processes must be thorough whilst not delaying, unduly, the delivery of finished products.
